Westjet orders 4,700 Business and Economy class seats for their Aircrafts

Westjet recenlty ordered 4,700 Business class and economy class seats from Recaro Aircraft Seating. The Canadian airline is equipping ten Boeing long-haul aircraft with CL3710 seats. For short and medium-haul routes, Recaro will also be supplying BL3520 economy class seats and CL4710 business class seats for ten of the airline’s aircraft. The seat deliveries will begin in 2018.

“Recaro impressed us with its intelligent design and fast delivery times,” said Tim Croyle, Executive Vice-President of WestJet. “Equipping the cabins of our new Boeing 787 Dreamliner and B737 MAX aircraft with these world-class seats, we are confident our guests will be impressed with the comfort and uncompromising quality of the CL3710 and BL3520 economy class seats and CL4710 business class seats.”

The CL3710 long-haul economy class seat sets new standards in terms of weight and comfort. At less than 12 kilograms, the CL3710 is one of the lightest products in its class.

On short-haul routes, WestJet will be deploying Recaro seats throughout the entire B737 MAX cabins. The BL3520, which will be used in economy, has an advanced lightweight design.
